William Havard, a chaplain during World War I, said, "The greatest glory of a free-born people is to transmit that freedom to their children." In passing down a heritage of liberty, we must convey not only an enjoyment of its privileges, but also a deep appreciation and understanding of the high cost to secure and maintain such freedom from generation to generation.
