Marriage Ministry Goals
We seek to assist couples by helping them get to know themselves (increase self awareness), helping them get to know each other (their backgrounds, values, goals, desires, expectations, etc.), experience growth in their communication skills, and identify areas in their relationships that need help and exploration. Couples need to know that marriage is a "continuous/growing process", and that it is their responsibility to learn about marriage, their mate, relationship issues, etc. for the rest of their lives. Most importantly, our goal is to teach couples to approach the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of dating and marriage from a Biblical perspective.
Marriage Foundations Course
This 10-week course will help couples discover practical ways for building a passionate marriage relationship. You will learn principles for conflict resolution, communication, intimacy, money management, anger and many other subjects. Lasting and fulfilling love can be yours at any age, in any state of marriage. This course is required for couples wishing to be married at Cathedral of Praise.

Marriage Retreats
We are planning small, intimate marriage retreats several times a year. They will be limited to 15 or fewer couples and will be at a resort facility. Each retreat will be designed around a particular topic with guest speakers, food, fun, fellowship and of course time to grow your marriage relationship.

The marriage procedures at Cathedral of Praise were established to prepare couples for an exciting marriage journey. Our goal is to be open and honest with you and provide input into your life so you can be assured that you are making the right decisions. Because we are committed to building strong marriages, we follow scriptural guidelines in determining who will be married by a Cathedral of Praise pastor.
